whihch stop button? the one on the mmedia player will stop the video playing, not downloading. the one on the browser will stop the whole page downloading

Odd - on mine the video player stop button stops it downloading

i use opera. definitely have to stop the page downloading as well as the video - I can see the download continuing in the status bar. maybe it continues in your browser but isn;t as obivous?

No, I'm watching the status led on my router - when I hit the stop button the line activity ceases, when I hit Play it starts again
